SPEECH THERAPY ONLINE

Teletherapy is a simple, modern way to receive speech therapy from any location on the globe, provided there is internet access.  If you have a computer and internet, teletherapy is within reach!  

 

Hardware required: 

 

1.  relatively new laptop or desktop with camera (see below for specifications)

2.  headphones with microphone 

3.  internet access 

4.  a quiet place to have our sessions

 

When you decide to work with us via teletherapy, you will download the software required to see and hear each other and work together on the same documents.  Its a quick and easy download that requires an email to join.  

 

Our first session we will get to know each other and I'll find out what prompted you to seek therapy.  You will be given a thorough evaluation and a treatment plan with measureable goals.  We will then decide on how often we will meet online for therapy, generally weekly for 30-60 minutes.  

 

We will work with you to customize the program that fits your needs, budget and time constraints.

Webcam: 

720P or better HD webcam

Moderately good quality headset with audio and microphone

 

Software: 

Mozilla (preferred) or Google Chrome

Adobe flashplayer version 10.3 (download it by pushing the button to the right)

 

Internet: 

At least 3 MB or Broadband (preferred)
